Calmark Sweden AB has today signed an exclusive distributor agreement with the company Alpha Tech Est. in Amman, Jordan.

Alpha Tech Est. is a distributor of medical equipment to maternity clinics, hospitals and health centers and thus already has customer contacts established in Calmark’s target group.  The distributor agreement grants Alpha Tech exclusive rights to sell and market the Calmark Neo platform in Jordan.

Calmark's reader will initially be installed at two units in the market in order to obtain clinical data in view of the registration process. The next step is to register the product with the appropriate authorities, and Alpha Tech intends to deal with this promptly. In parallel to the registration process, the focus is to train the staff and market the Neo platform and the surrounding concept to key customers in the region.

"The Middle East is a key market for Calmark," says Magdalena Tharaldsen, Calmark's Director International Business Development. "It is gratifying that we now have a partner with extensive experience of our customer segment to help us with documentation, registration, publicity and customer canvassing".

"The attention and interest we received at the Arab Health fair in Dubai showed that there is a great demand for our product in the region," says Anna Söderlund, CEO of Calmark. "Understandably, the pandemic has caused a certain delay in the marketing of new products to the healthcare sector. We are delighted to announce today's agreement, which will be the first of several in this priority region."
